Yeah, I know...

Training.

This was an amazing ski year. Winter has been hanging on all the way through April. I love to hear all the comments of people as the February thaw hits and they talk about an early spring. It happens every year. Alta had over 100" just in the month of April.

However, this is the first year in a long time that I don't mind seeing spring come. Solomon has been cooped up inside all winter and he just wants to get out. We can tell he has my adventurous spirit. I finally got a road bike and I've been training for some triathlons and road races this year. I got ben Mtn Biking last year so it's only justified that I now get on the road bike. Plus I'll be that much stronger come summer. We have an awesome group we ride with every Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday if anyone wants to join, check out the updates on www.nanumcreek.com

Tired.

I'm tired of a lot of things right now. Tired of work. Tired of training. Tired of TV. Tired of performing duties that I feel are forced on me by others, and I wonder why I'm giving in to them. Along with this tiredness however I feel I'm at one of the best moments in my life. I love my family; my wonderful wife, and especially my son. Such a joy. I'm training now for this summer's string of triathlons, not only to get in better shape, but to feel that sense of accomplishment that I've been missing for so long. A lot of my tiredness comes from this training, so it's a good thing. Being tired doesn't mean I'm done and giving up, it just means it's time for some rejevenation, not too many plans this weekend, so hopefully I'll get some time with my son, and in the saddle.
